Fr Augustine N. Nkwain

Fr. Augustine Nkwain is a priest of the Archdiocese of Bamenda ordained on 2nd April 1997.

He holds Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and Theology, from the Urban University in Rome, obtained during his philosophical and Theological Studies in St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui.

After an active ministry as Parochial Vicar in charge of Schools, in the Joseph’s Cathedral Mankon, Bamenda, Diocesan Master of Ceremonies, Fr. In charge of Catholic Information Service from 1997-2002, he was transferred to work as Parish Priest and Manager of Schools in Fuli-Kom Parish, from 2002-2007.

From then went for further studies in St. Georgen Hochschule, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2007-2013, where he obtained a Licentiate and PhD in Catholic Theology specializing in Pastoral Psychology and Pastoral Theology.

On his return he served as Catholic Education Secretary of the Archdiocese of Bamenda from 2013-2020. He served as visiting lecturer in the same seminary from 2015 and since 2020 became a member of the permanent formation Team of St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui, as professor of Pastoral psychology and Pastoral Theology.
